Evolution of High-Efficiency Silicon Solar Cells

內容摘要:
Global energy demand keeps climbing while >85% fossil dependence has lifted atmospheric CO₂ from <300 to >400 ppm and warmed the planet by ~1 °C. Photovoltaics are a scalable path to low-carbon power, yet provide only ~3.3% of global electricity; further LCOE reductions hinge on raising cell efficiency without added cost. This talk outlines a manufacturable route to low-cost, high-efficiency Si cells that combine selective passivated contacts on the front with a dopant-free interdigitated back contact architecture. We also adopt Ag-coated Cu pastes for rear electrodes to curb silver consumption while preserving conductivity and reliability.
